GM Notes: I have to say I have had some plesant surprises this season. On the bump Arturo Ramirez going 9-2 with a 3.03 ERA and Shawn Brock going 10-1 with a 1.81 ERA have been great surprises for the pitchers. And hitting wise Ed Duke hitting .370-13-48 and King Brock .282-12-54 have been above and beyond what I expected from them. I just hope they can keep it up... Claude Bond of the Generals is out with an injury, but he has been a player I have gone after. I'd like to pass off Derek Campbell to the Generals in return for Bond, but they can't afford his contract. And they don't have enough pieces to make it work. Maybe I will try again later, but he is up on the top of the list... Mike Ford is off to a nice start as our new 1B in Mauro's absence. If he keeps on hitting he may be around a while. I tried to get him to learn some OF while in the minors, he didn't. He is just hitter, for better or worse... All in all, very happy with the way things are going as long as we can stay healthy we should be good... Antonio Diaz is telling us that Vaughn Griffith is showing him that he deserves to be promoted. We have no place for him, but its nice to know we have a starter ready to go. He is 7-4 4.07 in AAA.
