Yep. You can import whatever historical teams you want into a league.

You can also import schedules in XML format, but that isn't necessarily the easiest thing to set up - on the bright side, there may already be a schedule that is (or is close enough to) what you want. There is an entire sub-forum in the Mods forum for schedules.

IIRC, importing historical teams also imports that team's managerial tendencies. I'm not sure if you can adjust them, however.

If a "series" is the 3 or 4 game sets that make up a season, then no, those aren't tracked. But each season is, and you can create an almanac of each season (or have the game do it automatically) for historical persual.

I believe it's all doable (the managers are the thing I'm unsure of), but it's not always easy. OOTP is a very deep program.
