Never seen this before
Ty Cobb is crushing it in my random debut league. 1971, he hits .389. 1972, Cobb hits .411. I'm now 80 games into 1973 and he's hitting .463. The only thing that seems to be able to slow this guy down is the injury bug. 71, he played in just under 100 games. 72, he managed 111, but missed the last 3 weeks of the season. He missed the first few weeks of the 73 season as well.
I'm using a 132 game schedule. One thing I am trying for this league that I've never used before is "base potentials on entire career." I usually use "based on remaining years."
I've never had a guy sustain that type of average over and extended period before. I usually have guys flirt with .400 for awhile and then steadily creep back into the .300's. Cobb has now played close to 300 games and has a career average over .400.
