Delaware Conference Glove Wizard Award Winners Announced
It's been said that the best offense is a good defense. That's why contending teams are always looking to improve on the defensive side of the game. Keeping runs from scoring is just as good as driving them in. The top fielders have been chosen in the Delaware Conference for 2017. Here are the Glove Wizard Award winners:

First Baseman: Ramón Miranda (Georgetown Sixteens)
Second Baseman: José Chávez (Dover Generals)
Third Baseman: Miguel Ortega (Seaford Blue Jays)

Left Fielder: Thad Raine (Christiana Blue Hens)
Center Fielder: Pat Shelton (Christiana Blue Hens)

MarVa Confernece Announces 2017 Top Gloves:
"Flashing the leather" and "good with the glove" are ways to describe players who help their teams by playing great defense. Today the most dependable glovemen in the MarVa Conference for 2017 were announced. Glove Wizard Awards will be presented to these top-notch defenders:

Catcher: Lorenzo Nieto (Richmond Cardinals)
First Baseman: Francisco Reyes (Ocean City Tourists)
Second Baseman: Dave McGill (Ellicott City Express)

Side Thoughts: I have to say I am bummed we didn't win more than one Glove Wizard award. We had the highest fielding pct in the game and we could only get one. I think Augusto Rodriquez @ SS and Mauro Candelaria @ 1B got left out.
