Still trying to get a handle on the game, and a question about player usage comes to mind. Looking at the various versions described, indicates the game uses opening day roster of the year denoted in the game, based on the stats for the previous season.
This brings to mind an unusual, situation with the Tigers this year. OOTP 14 will have the Tigers '14 opening day roster without Doug Fister, as he will be National. The Tigers' replacement for Fister is Drew Smyly. Smyly last season was exclusively a relief pitcher. So how does the game engine adapt to that? Is he going to be weak as a SP, tiring easily? Does the game even let you add him to the rotation?
Sorry if these questions seem silly. Just wondering how the game adapts to these situations?
