AI Lineups and Positions
I am running a no-development league with historical teams from all different eras, the ones found in the Strat-o-Matic Old-Timer card set. I am currently editing the rosters to mimic the Strat set, so 20 players on each team (for the most part).
The roster booklet organizes players into pitchers, catchers, infielders, and outfielders, based on what they played in real life. However, some players are imported at positions not what they are listed in the book, which leads to me simply changing the position.
The roster book also comes with a "Lineup most frequently used". I do not want to use these lineups, as I don't want to edit them all and they may not work well with OOTP ratings. HOWEVER, I do want the AI to use the players at their positions in the roster book, which the OOTP AI does not do.
For example, the 1962 Mets:
The lineup in the book is as follows:
Ashburn, RF
Mantilla, 3B
Hickman, CF
Thomas, LF
Throneberry, 1B
Taylor, C
Neal, 2B
Chicon, SS
However, the lineup OOTP has is:
Woodling, LF
Mantilla, SS
Ashburn, CF
Thomas, 1B
Throneberry, RF
Neal, 2B
Hickman, 3B
Coleman, C
Normally I would be fine with this, but Throneberry is an infielder and Thomas is an outfielder in the book. Is there any way to force OOTP to use them the way I want to without actually editing any of the players' fielding ratings or lineups/depth charts?
Basically what I want is for OOTP to create its own lineups, but with players at their proper positions.
If there is no solution, it's no biggie, but I'm kind of OCD when it comes to this kind of stuff.
