GM Notes: This up coming week will be one of our toughest weeks of the season. We play the top team in the Eastern Division for 4 and then head to Richmond to play the red-hot Cardinals for 4. Going to tell us a lot about our team... Janchez is off to an interesting start going 2-9 in 2 games (1 hit in each). With Frietas coming back in a week, I will have a decision to make. My feeling now is send Freitas to AAA for a short rehab stint, but get him back on the roster by Sept 1 for the playoffs. We are a better team with him in the lineup for sure.. Then go from there. Just need to figure out who to send down... Still have 44 games left, and I can't tell you how ready I am for this season to be over. I just want to start the playoffs before any (more) major injuries. Maybe I don't want to rush it, but in the past 6 weeks, I have lost my CF, LF, RF all to the DL. Lucky for me Kent Davis only missed 2 weeks, and King Brock has filled the game at the DH. What a pleasant surprise. He should get a look at the ROY, but I know he went, but a .280+ avg, 10 HR's and 50+ RBI's aren't to shabby... On to our tough week. The first 4 games vs Ocean City should be interesting, our starting rotation doesn't line up too well, as we start things off with our #3 man Ron Reilly. Statement series?? Lets wait and see.
