Well, it's being built from the ground up as far as I know. Yes, Francis has been working on it for a while, but when it comes out it will be version 1. There has been no previous version of this game on the market that I'm aware of.
Just my opinion, but that's starting from scratch and building a brand new game, not acquiring an already established game.
