The Expos were drafting 14th in the amateur draft, and with our top pick selecting SP Tom Glavine. We didn't draft again until the fourth round, and selected reliever John Davis. Reliever Logan Easley was our final draft pick.

I made the decision to decline arbitration for Frank DiPino, Cecilio Guante, Steve Simpson, and Reid Nichols.

Jon Matlock was named the National League Cy Young Award winner after his 18-7 season with a 1.74 ERA.
