3. Are there any threads dedicated to settings or is it just best to keep them at default (ie ratings like 1-20, hitting and pitching stats, etc...)

This is all I can think of now, but will ask if I remember. I do want to say with my brief period with the game, that it beats out Baseball Mogul. I can't wait to dive into a league that I create and get in touch with the world.

Also to all of the mods and helpful people I've seen throughout the thread keep up the great work. You guys are the reason that I made the leap for the game.
1. The only way to do this is to set up a server. You do not have to be in an online league to do this, you can do this just for solo leagues, but you need some way of getting the information on your computer visible to the world. I'm not that smart with stuff like that, so for my league, I use allsimbaseball. It costs $7 per month, but if you don't have a good knowledge about internet servers, it is the only way to go unless you wanted to try and figure out how to do that. And for that, I cannot help you, but someone else should be able to help you get started if you'd like to proceed with that option.

2. I would search in this forum, and if you cannot find anything, I'd ask the question there. We have a lot of great graphics guys(not me) who have a passion for that kind of thing, I do not.

3. To answer this question, it is just personal preference. This thread was actually recently created in the "general discussion" area. You can set it up for something like real-life, using the 20-80 scale, or 1-100 if you want them really detailed, or 1-5 if you like having a basic idea but want to watch the stats to figure out who is really best. Or, some guys love just turning them all the way off. Just remember that these ratings are displayed are not the players true rating, unless you have scouting turned off. Otherwise they are what your scout views them as.

Is that what you wanted, or you are also referring to the settings found under league setup->Strategy? Those are actually modifiers that affect the outcome of an at-bat. You can adjust these so you will get similar results to any year in baseball(ie, the dead ball era).

I hope this helps and that I didn't ramble on too much.

EDIT: Forgot to say: Welcome to the game!
