that's for Team option only.
Players option will tell you if players as elected.
Vesting option will tell you if met, and if not consequences (ie FA or still under team contract and arbitration bound)
edit: and to be precise, the email is when Off season start. you have time between the end of the WS and Off-Season start to take actions on contract. (this is useful if you want to buy out to be part of last year's budget, and you have extra revenue coming from playoff appearance)
