2042 ALL-DEFENSE TEAMS CHOSEN IN IPA
The supermen with the golden mitts have been selected in the IPA. The top defenders in the Ruthlandian Union and Tycobbian Union were announced by the IPA headquarters today. There were very few repeat winners this season. Third baseman Billy Christianson of the Rolling Hills Reds won his seventh Golden Glove, catcher Jaak Pajukivi of the Ozarka Naturals claimed his fourth trophy and first baseman Fred Phelps of the Chicopee Braves and center fielder Sogo Takagi of the Ginza Ninjas both were honored for the second time.

The only multiple winners in the Ruthlandian Union were first baseman Denny Simmons of the Sligo Rovers and right fielder Bobby Gamble of the Sugar Valley Rattlers. They were named for the second time in their careers to the Golden Glove team. Only two clubs had more than one representative. Sugar Valley of the Ruthlandian Union and Chicopee of the Tycobbian Union each has two players named to the top defensive team.
