Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE has a line of what they will do and what they won't. The problem with the word 'cheating' is it implies some sort of morality statement. In my case, that isn't what I mean.

Why don't I use commisioner mode for any case other than when the game screws up? Because I am playing a game, win or lose. I figure if I start changing things against the natural progression of the game, what is to stop me from just going in and making it so I am the best team and win every time?

This is the same reason I try not to take advantage of the trade engine. If I can just MAKE it so I win, why bother playing?

Other people put their line in different places, but everyone has that line. Where the line 'should' be is a meaningless question, because it is a solo game. Play it how you want.

(The fact that different people want different things out of the game isn't new... I still don't really 'get' why people play purely fictional leagues... but they do, so go to it!)
