I was once a fervent supporter of adding the WBC to OOTP, but after watching the last WBC, I have reservations. There are a lot of whacky rules in the WBC that you don't see in MLB: The mercy rule, strict rules pertaining to pitch counts, and most ridiculous of all, teams automatically starting with runners on first and second base after the 13th inning. I mean, WTF is that? To me, that's not baseball, and I can't imagine how Markus would even begin to program in such arcane, un-baseball like, and assuredly, asinine rules into OOTP.

Now, I would LOVE to see just plain old baseball as we know and love it without the exotic rules of the WBC go international in OOTP, However, considering how Markus usually (and rightfully) likes to program features in OOTP as realistically as possible, where's the basis in reality for imposing standard MLB rules on the WBC? Maybe we can just have a World Cup of Baseball incorporated in OOTP, where the game is actually played the way it's supposed to.
