I downloaded what Norton called "Power eraser", which is supposed to catch viruses the NIS doesn't (don't know why they would have separate abilities, or need a "power eraser"), but it did find something called BEVENT.EXE and took it out. As a baseball guy, I know BEVENT.EXE is part of Retrosheet's database crunching tool, but I had not loaded the tool onto my computer since reformatting it, so maybe it was a bad file.

Anyway, after going through and the Power Eraser process, dumping BEVENT.EXE and starting over, everything is still the same. Nothing has changed.

I have downloaded BitDefender Free and am now installing it. It had noted there is an incompatible program (i.e., NIS) already on the machine and they recommended uninstalling it, but I didn't want to do that, so I life NIS on there. I will now wait for BitDefender to completely load and update, I will disable Norton's antivirus momentarily, and run a full system scan through bitDefender, and see how that all comes out.

Stay tuned ... I am motivated to fix this, because if I can't fix it, if it is completely unfixable (Andreas should uninstalling/reinstalling won't do any good), I'd have to give up not only the dynasty, but the whole OOTP game. I'd rather not do that if I can avoid it.
