Yeah, I get that.
On one hand, I feel it adds to the strategy in the sense that you call for a fastball instead of a forkball, it could have an effect on the outcome of the AB positive or negative. Like, pitch around vs. pitch
On the other hand, it brings on visions of that gaudy batters box with all those controls that are so prevalent in those circus arcade games like the show.
How about this? Could you live with it if it were a mode? Like "pitch selection mode"
Also, the endurance rating: if it was dynamic, it could account for pitchers who pitched a zillion innings a season in the pre-modern era. Although I wouldn't know how to actually determine the rating.
I think all I'm really looking for is a penalty for overuse.
But if it really IS a rating embedded in the game, I sure would like to see it
