It would really come into play with pitchers. The more you use a pitcher through out the season, the faster it decreases.

For example: Your ace starting pitcher starts out with a seasonal endurance rating of 100. He throws a lot of complete games, works a lot of innings, throws a lot of pitches through out the season. Pitches with 4 days rest occasionaly. By the time he gets to the end of the season, his endurance rating has dropped to 50. His velocity drops, his game stamina isn't quite as high. He can't long during a start.

Same pitcher, you limit his pitch count, keep a cap on his innings pitched per start, give him an extra days rest. At the end of the season, he's got a rating of 85-90. He's fresh, his velocity is there, his game stamina is strong.

Real life example: in 1986 with the red sox, Roger Clemens was a work horse throughout the season. In the playoffs that year, he wasn't as sharp. In game six of the world series, he could only last 7 innings . Bruce Hurst had a stint on the disabled list, didn't work as many innings, and he was the red sox post season ace. He was fresh.

This seasonal endurance rating could also vary with players: a guy like cal ripken could have a start of the season endurance rating of 200. Pedro Martinez could have an endurance rating of 90. Steven Strassburgh could have a rating of 85. Bob Feller could have a seasonal endurance of 250 etc.

2. A Pitch selection mode. You call for a fast ball, curve ball, etc. They had it in Microleague...

3. Change section numbers for game strategy from double digit numbers to letters and allow keyboard selection. Safety Squeeze should be choice C. not 12. That;s a no brainer.
As long as the endurance thing is an option or only tied to modern baseball when pitchers can barely throw 180 inings.
I dont want an arcade game so I am against #2.
I am for customizable keyboard controls.
