Drafting Slot Demands After 5th Round - a Warning

According to the OOTP manual, if you have "Advanced Draft Signings" enabled, slot bonuses apply to only the first five rounds.

Well, in the sixth round of my draft, there was still one high school player demanding a ridiculous signing bonus for his level of talent. Since there was nothing but garbage left, I figured I'd draft him, and since there was no slotting after the first five rounds, I thought maybe I'd be able to get him for free. After all, most players with no demands that are drafted in the 6th round and later just go straight to your minor league system.

Well, it backfired. I went to my Draft Pick Negotiation screen and there he is - a 6th round pick demanding more than my 1st round pick and awaiting an offer. #facepalm

And what's worse, after reading through the documentation, it makes it sound like since I drafted him in the 6th round, I won't necessarily get compensation next year when I refuse to give in to his demands. Whoops!

So just a word of warning to anyone else who might be thinking along the same lines as me. Guys with demands will still have to be negotiated with, even if you draft them after the fifth round! Steer clear!
