Baseball is now dominated by pitching. This season, both leagues combined to hit just .246. The pitching dominance was never more evident than in the World Series.

The Highlanders won game 1 in the bottom of the ninth, and took the series clincher in the 12^th inning. Eddie Plank pitched all 12 innings for the Highlanders, who enjoy their 3^rd straight title!
