Try using wOBA for your offensive stats, FIP for your pitchers, and ZR or EFF for your defensive numbers. wOBA better captures a player's offensive contributions because it counts things like SB/CS, GDP etc. It's not just the hitting, but more of an overall snapshot of the player's offensive production.
