1906 MLB Draft
The big names in the 1906 MLB draft include Smokey Joe Wood, and Home Run Baker. They aren’t the big prizes though, the clear cut number 1 pick is one of the greatest pitchers ever to play baseball. The Big Train himself, Walter Johnson.
Johnson goes to the Cubs. If Johnson can even come close to his real life dominance, the Cubs’ will be winning a few more Worlds Series then in real life!
Cy Young is still hanging on. He’s not anywhere close to the pitcher he once was. Injuries will do that, but here’s how the 39 year old has done the last 3 seasons.
Ed Delahanty will enter the season 92 hits behind Cap Anson for the all-time hits lead. Barring injury, he’ll pass this mark in late June or early July. Delahanty, whose now 39, has won 5 NL MVP’s, and 5 batting championships.
