'83-'84 Off-Season
12/12/1983 - Off-Season Injury News
The Seattle Mariners will be without left fielder Bill Buckner. He has a strained abdominal muscle, which will sideline him for approximately 6 weeks. The Mariners manager called the loss of Buckner "a tough break." During his career Buckner has hit .303 with 2108 hits, 148 home runs, 934 RBIs and scored 872 runs. I had just signed Buckner to a 3-year, $2.0M contract and have him pegged to be our DH for the upcoming year. He should be ready by Spring Training.
