I hope so too. He is loyalty and greed ratings are normal, so I guess its possible. The thing is looking at other pitchers salaries they are outrageous and he would be the best one on the market for a few years. In hindsight I should of offered a longer extension, but I am always reluctant to give long-term deals to pitches hitting the age of 30.
He is a beast and has always pitched well when we needed him to. He is probably one of the games top-3 pitchers, as far as consistency and skill go. I grabbed Jose Matos in hopes to lessen the impact of losing Sweetapple, but Matos has an awful contract and will only be here for 1 more year before I am going to have to ship him away for financial reasons.
The fans will not be happy if he walks, that is for sure. My fingers are crossed, and if he does decide to stay I will do what I can to sign him to a longer term deal...
Playoff Stats... can't get much better.
