Ortiz put a beating on Flowers, dominating virtually every round; flooring Bruce in round eight and forcing a stoppage with a bevy of blows in round ten.
Willie Fitzgerald 19-0-2 (6) vs Willie Ritchie 17-3-1 (3)
Fitzgerald's jab was working overtime and it turned Ritchie's face into a swollen and bloody mess en route to a solid UD in an entertaining scrap. 117-111 & 117-112 x2
Jim Watt 17-4-1 (9) vs Rodolfo Gonzalez 14-5-2 (9)
Jim Watt continued his unlikely march with an absolutely dominant performance against Gonzalez, he hurt Rodolfo late in the first with an uppercut and teed off on him from the bell in round two until the ref stopped it with a displeased Rodolfo still on his feet.
Erik Morales 93-16-3 (60) vs Ray Miller 17-3-1 (6)
After two even rounds, Morales rocked Miller with a nasty combination in round three and then he floored him with a right early in the fourth before forcing the stoppage with a vicious barrage of blows later in the round.
