At the end of spring training, the AI selects the roster/starting line up based (mostly) on players spring training performance. That way that rookie kid who goes on a tear and hits .421 in spring training makes the club or that pitcher who was going to be your 4th or 5th starter throws batting practice in all of his spring training starts gets demoted to the bullpen or released.

Right now, the AI seems like it has it's mind made up going into spring training. This will allow for more meaningful competition for spring training games.

It would be nice if we could invite non roster players and set up competition platoons as well/
