Maybe i am blind, but how do i approach a team to make a deal without trading for a player of them?

I just want to deal picks for picks but the only way i can get to the trade screen is clicking on a player and make an offer, then i cant remove him from the deal.

So is there a different way to do this and i cant find it or is it just not in the game yet?

On a side note, it would be nice to have that "offer to league" option that was in EHM.
