2041 IPA LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES - Game Two

BULLS ON A RAMPAGE, BEAT 'CATS 11-4
The raging Ranford Bulls beat Cold Creek again in game two of the Ruthlandian League Championship Series... this time the defending Pro Cup champion trampled the Catamounts 11-4, propelled by three home runs and 13 hits... Arlo Guthrie, Roger Farnsworth and Pete Bankston all went deep for the Bulls... with such great offensive support Ronnie Schroeder (2-0/3.67) cruised to the win in spite of allowing four runs on 11 hits... he struck out six batters and walked three, but it was good enough to defeat Cold Creek.
Ranford busted up a 5-2 game with six runs in the bottom of the seventh to send Cold Creek reeling... CF Roger Farnsworth (.343) sparked the rout with four hits in five at-bats, three runs scored and two RBIs... 3B Pete Bankston (.343) added 3-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs... and C Arlo Guthrie (.114) drove in four runs, most of them coming on a three-run clout.
Cold Creek picked up 11 hits, led by RF Guy St. Laurent (.318) with three hits and two RBIs... Harvey Fullerton (1-1/4.61) was tagged with the loss... the Bulls belted him for eight runs and 10 hits in six-plus innings.

HAWKS RALLY FOR 5-3 VICTORY IN GAME 2
At the Hawk's Nest in North Hills, the hometown boys were down 3-0 going into the last of the eighth, when they suddenly lit up Freddy Gooch for five runs and a 5-3 triumph for their second win in a row over Kenwood in the Tycobbian LCS... in a solid performance hard-throwing Joey Santini (2-0/2.70) stumped the Wildcats on three runs and six hits with six strikeouts and three walks.
Gooch had a five-hit shutout until the eighth frame when the flood gates opened... five hits turned into five runs, highlighted by C Timmy Stevens (.200) three-run double, RF Jimmy Jay Ferguson's (.267) game-winning triple and SS Norris Henry's (.300) RBI single... Gooch (2-1/3.52) tasted defeat for the first time in the postseason... he was smacked for five runs and 10 hits, while going the distance.
