I don't think he should be mocked. People put a lot of time and effort into these games and losing it can be quite disheartening.

I went through that when my 2012 quick start decided it wouldn't leave Spring Training in 2013. It made my dynasty (literally) unplayable.

It is one of the reasons that I always run multiple Dynasties now. If one fails, I can console myself with the others.
