Jr Lightweight Fourth Round

Hector Camacho 76-22-4 (28) vs (IBO) Marco Antonio Barrera 75-14-2 (55)

Rematch: Camacho TKO11

'Macho' continued to look amazing in this tournament in the early going with blazing and powerful combinations that had the Mexican warrior playing catch up. In the fourth Barrera forged in tight and scored with heavy hooks in close that left Camacho with a swollen right eye. Marco got rough in the fifth and a clash of heads wasn't beneficial to him as MAB came away with a hideous gash over his right eye. Early in the sixth a left from Camacho widened the cut and they went to the cards where Camacho's early lead was rewarded with the UTD. 49-46 x3

Jose Luis Castillo 87-16-2 (54) vs Roger Bernard 33-6-3 (8)

Castillo's aggression were too much for the slick Bernard, and, while his defense enabled him to survive two knockdowns, the UD for JLC was a mere formality. 118-108, 117-109 & 117-110

Joel Casamayor 40-1-1 (20) vs (WBC) Acelino Freitas 36-6 (19)

Rematch: Casamayor UD12

The Cuban kept Acelino on the end of his jab and the Brazilians left eye was badly swollen after three rounds, 'Popo' pressed forward from there but it just opened up the brilliant counter punching of Casamayor and he dropped Freitas three times on the way to a shockingly one sided UD. 119-106 & 117-108 x2

Roger Mayweather 51-9-2 (34) vs Calvin Grove 29-10-4 (14)

Grove was willing to engage Roger and it led to consistently exciting exchanges, but the power differential was vast and Mayweather dropped him with a right hand in the sixth and hurt Calvin several other times en route to the clear UD. 119-108, 118-109 & 115-112
