Fernando Gagnon 5-1-0 (3) vs Stan Almond 2-1-0 (0) - Gagnon broke open a closer than expected fight with a 7th round knockdown, then opened a gash directly on the left eyebrow that tore open again in the 8th for the TKO.

Carl Tremaine 2-1-0 (1) vs Vic Foley 1-1-0 (1) - After splitting two uneventful rounds, Tremaine and Foley embarked on a war in the 3rd that was RoY quality. The aftermath of that was major swelling around the left eye of Tremaine, and it came into play the very next round as Tremaine didn't see the wild right hand by Foly and was decked for the count!
