Yeah but I don't think that is the complaint here, how many of those managers were managing teams with the second best record in the league? Bad managers get fired mid season but good managers don't, unless there is some crazy scandal of some sort.

This, exactly. I've seen floundering teams fire their managers mid-season all the time, but never a good team. Something seems off here.
