I've had some issues here, since
a) the game refused to move the player [Daniel Hall] from the DL to the active roster, which it deemed full (29 out of 40 doesn't sound full to me, unless you consider the expanded rosters to seize existence after game #162)
b) the game refused to move the player from the DL to the playoff roster, even when I removed one of the eight infielders [Ohayashi] on there and thus had only 24 men left on it
It did b) while maintaining this was either due to
c) the playoff roster being full (which it wasnt, a spot was open) or
d) the player not being eligible (which he was, since he has been either on the 25-man roster or the DL for more than 13 years without interruption);
That's when I went into commishioners mode to find out that he in fact WAS eligible for the playoff roster, so adding him should not be an issue!
At this point I consider my reservation from yesterday about "cheating" moot, since the program clearly doesn't adhere to what it states from one page to the next.
I have thus edited out his injury, added him to the 25-man roster (which required cleaning out everybody not on the playoff roster and waiving two scrubs, including that eighth infielder), then added him to the playoff roster, and will now leave him on the bench until game 3.
