Game 1: Sherbrooke (0-0) @ Gatineau (0-0)
Pierre Serre vs Sam Mills
We win our opening match, 4-2, getting 13 hits through Mills. Serre got 5.2 innings of work and Fleury records the SV. A very good day!
The Cards' star CF Mark Penfield was hurt today and will miss a whole month, which is basically the whole season! Very bad news for Chicoutimi who didn't have the best team to start up with...
Game 2: Sherbrooke (1-0) @ Gatineau (0-1)
Rick Snow vs Thierry Renard
We beat the Attack again, this time by a score of 9-2. Well it looks like the experts were right in saying GAT would be dead last in our division, they really didn't play well in these two opening games on their field. Barlow and Fullerton both had 3 RBIs, and Fullerton actually had two homers this game. Snow got 7 innings of work for the W.
Game 3: Sherbrooke (2-0) @ Trois-Rivières (1-1)
Clement Kieffer vs Paul Maitre
And we absolutely humiliate them, 9-0! Kieffer had 7.2 IP, only allowing 1 hit. Fullerton registered his 3rd homerun of the season already. Molina had 2 RBIs. Well! What a start to the season.
Game 4: Sherbrooke (3-0) @ Trois-Rivières (1-2)
Herb Acker vs Tim Gamble
In a closer affair, we beat them again, 3-2. This time, only allowing them two hits total. Acker got 8 innings of work and Fleury closed this thing up like a champ in the 9th. This is a phenomal start to the season! Couldn't ask for much more.
In other news, Montréal's Joseph Monier, one of the top catcher in the game, got injured and will miss 4 weeks!
