INJURY NEWS-Columbus closer Orlando Perez (3-2 32 SV 1.38 in 54 games last year) has been out since March 2nd after elbow surgery. It was learned today he'll miss the entire year, and into 2035 possibly as the 34 year old has hit a snag in his rehab, and could possibly have to undergo a 2nd Tommy John surgery, in succession. He has saved 173 games over the past 5 years after leaving Chicago. Thankfully Columbus had signed former closer (and disgruntled Silver Star) Roberto Hidalgo who has gone 1-5 with 31 SV and a 2.72 for the Clippers, who are 72-48 and 9 games ahead of 2nd place Chicago.
