Jr Lightweight Third Round

Cornelius Boza-Edwards 39-2 (28) vs Celestino Caballero 47-17-1 (29)

This was a vicious war, with Boza hurting Caballero in many rounds but Celestino was the more active competitor and he banked the rounds he wasn't woozy in. Edwards struck a significant blow when he dropped the Panamanian in round eleven with a left hand and that helped him earn the grueling UD. 116-112, 115-112 & 114-113

Yodsanan Nanthachai 17-4 (11) vs (WBA) Antonio Cermeno 54-10-3 (28)

This was a violent affair, Cermeno floored the Thai challenger in the second with an uppercut and a booming cross from Yodsanan evened things up in round four. Nanthachai built a lead and battled through two badly swollen eyes to secure a draw. 114-112 & 113-113 x2

(WBO) Frankie Klick 33-8 (8) vs Rafael Limon 16-4-1 (9)

Limon invested to the body in the early going and his brute force overwhelmed Klick's superior skills. The bout was competitive the whole way but Bazooka dropped Frankie with an uppercut in round fourteen to solidify the impressive UD. 148-139, 146-139 & 146-140

Carlos Canete 15-5-1 (7) vs Tony Lopez 33-8 (21)

Tony floored Carlos with a body shot in round three but Canete rebounded to floor the tiger in the fifth and seventh rounds before he finished Tony in round eight with a violent combination.

Apollo Yoshio 12-9 vs Eddie Shea 30-11-4 (9)

Apollo scored a knockdown in the sixth from a solid combo but Shea controlled the majority of the action and walked away with the UD. 116-112 x3

(IBF) Genaro Hernandez 19-2 (8) vs Lothar Abend 16-4-1 (3)

This was a give and take affair until Hernandez abruptly ended matters with a vicious combo that put Abend down and out in round seven.

Jason Litzau 31-10-3 (12) vs Joan Guzman 43-17-3 (28)

Rematch: Guzman UD12

They engaged in an epic opening round where both gladiators scored at will (19-21), from that point Guzman took over and he busted up Litzau's right eye, dropped him in round six, and forced the stoppage in round eight due to the facial wound.

Robert Guerrero 55-10-1 (30) vs Rolando Navarette 19-2 (11)

The 'Ghost' suffered a bad cut over his left eye in the opening round, though the cut reopened several times Guerrero battled through it and managed to move on with a SD. 116-111, 113-114 & 115-112
