The best way to do what you're trying to do is to go into each player's profile that you want to "mark" and click the "Shortlist" button in the lower right.
Then you can go into your Manager Menu -> Player Shortlist & Search to pull up a list of all players you've shortlisted. You then have to find those guys in the draft screen again, so it's not exactly a perfect method, but it will accomplish what you're trying to do.
