Jr Lightweight- Second Round

Roberto Garcia 13-7 (8) vs (IBO) Yusuke Kobori 25-13-2 (11)

After a violent back and forth opening round, Garcia dropped Kobori with a hook in round two and thought he champion surged in the middle rounds, Roberto took back over and floored Yusuke again in round eleven to punctuate his well earned UD. 117-109, 116-110 & 116-111

Roman Martinez 16-3-1 (8) vs Phillip N'Dou 18-20-2 (9)

These guys went at it for the first five rounds on even terms with both men landing punishing hooks to the head and body. The pace slowed over the second half of the bout, but it was still razor close and the judges rendered a fair draw. 96-94, 94-96 & 95-95

Johnny Dundee 33-10 (11) vs Juan Jose Arias 12-6-2 (6)

Dundee was in a different class and he used those skills to befuddle Arias and take the wide UD. 99-91 x2 & 98-92

Manuel Medina 31-9-2 (12) vs Calvin Grove 27-10-4 (14)

Their styles didn't provide constant fireworks, but it was an entertaining enough bout. Grove broke open the fight when he floored Medina with a hook for nine count in round nine and he dominated the final round to ensure the UD win. 97-92 x2 & 96-93

Pierre Cote 32-7-1 (18) vs Steven Luevano 21-17-3 (6)

The Canadian was rated in the wrong division, but he is still here and Cote and Luevano engaged in a largely tactical bout that saw Cote's aggression lead him to a SD win. 99-91, 94-96 & 96-94

Kamel Bou Ali 8-11-1 (4) vs Carlos Ramon Rios 11-8-1 (4)

This was a highly entertaining, and foul ridden, bout. Neither man created a gap for himself, but, in round eight, Ali was disqualified for an intentional headbutt.

Diego Corrales 34-5-1 (29) vs Tracy Patterson 29-12 (17)

Patterson used his speed to open an early lead and create a nasty gash on Diego's forehead in round three. 'Chico' responded with powerful hooks to the body and head that put Tracy into a defensive posture and Corrales was able to grind out the UD. 97-93 x3

Benny Bass 31-10-1 (11) vs Edelmiro Martinez 15-5 (4)

Martinez suffered a nasty knockdown in round three from an overhand right, but he beat the count and managed to match Benny in a tactical battle until the tenth when Edelmiro rocked Bass twice with hooks to pull out the razor close UD. 96-94 & 95-94 x2
