Regular NHL season. The team that won its division is ranked 2nd in standings, but had less points than 2nd place team from other division in its conference. The playoff matchups ended up based on the team points not on their correct standings. The division winner should be seeded 2nd and play the 7th best team in the first round of playoffs.
