As mentioned above, the ability to withdraw FA offers is very important
I happen to have a bad memory, and there are times when I'll give an offer to a free agent then sim a few weeks. In all of the activity of those few weeks - including times when I might have exited the game for a bit - I'll forget I ever gave that person an offer and give someone else at the same position an offer. Then I'm stuck if the offer isn't matched.
