That is my 5 cents on this issue. The Paid "Free" Beta was alarming also, felt like it was their kickstarter for this game to collect money and go forward and no Demo after 2 months of release, Seriously?!? who does that? lot of people if they could have tried this most likely would not had bought it, i guess that is the intention for it...

If I give you your money back will you go away and I'll drop you an email when someone makes a perfect hockey sim that fits your liking?
On a more alarming note is the state of the game, the boards are practically dead aside from these "types" of threads either good job keep it up or the game is unplayable"
I'd like to know what percentage of people on the boards are still playing the game and what is being worked on.
I know many won't like my opinion on the matter but I think they need to do a press release that opens up a limited 7 day refund period and announce we are putting a hold on development of historic and custom mode and if you would like you can get a refund as this may have been a selling point to you.
But these two modes tend to cause the greatest backlash for the game and need the most work.
Then what they need to do is take present day Hockey and make the game fun. Integrate hockey tactics, improve the AI and improve the GUI.
Once you have these things you can reintegrate historical play using the improvements and at this time you can turn focus to historical/custom leagues as the NHL will need a lot less work.
Version 2 needs to be a fun, fully functional (historic/custom/real time) game that adds online capability. At this point that is all I am looking for from version 2. With this development plan most of the above will be patched into v1 which would mean the biggest changes for V2 will be database and online play which should make for a relatively short development window.
My main concern isn't this crap that traveller posts every day its that the game while working fine just isn't fun enough to play for me.
