2033 AMATEUR DRAFT
I pick 26th in the 1st, and then my next pick isnt until #106 (31st in the 3rd) so there will be a premium on safe picks this year. Ill follow the 1st round until I pick.
1) Dallas Harley Crawford LHP 6 190 Houston Baptist College Consensus top 2 arm in the draft. Upper 90s power lefty, 1st of 2 picks for Dallas in the top 4. (2)
2) Fresno Ken Lord LHP 62 200 Pacific U. Polished college lefty. Low 90s FB/SL/CH mix (6)
3) Michigan Hector Rosales RHP 61 180 Crystal City HS, TX low 90s power arm, hard worker and a leader. A ways off. Top rated P prospect in the draft (1)
4) Dallas Fernando Cetulio RHP 59 175 Ball State Dallas grabs a potential 1 and 2 in the 1st 4 picks. Upper 90s power FB/Cutter with potential HoF change. Concern is size
5) Brooklyn Kevin Starr RHP 6 175 Texas-Arlington Superstar two-way talent. Can be an ace or a 3 hole hitter and a likely all star for years at either. No idea which way hes going but huge ceiling whichever way he does. (9)
6) Philadelphia Sam Curtis OF 6 170 Scarborough HS, TX 1st position player taken. Off the charts power to go with a .400+ OBP approach. Great speed but average base runner. Tools and skills to play across the OF.
7) Edmonton Dave OClery RHP 6 190 U. of Nevada Top 5 arm coming in. Upper 90s mix but questions all over about makeup. 4 pitch guy with all 4 being + pitches. (8)
8) San Jose Luis Valencia LHP 61 185 Abington HS, MA Mid 90s lefty with huge potential out of HS. 3 pitch mix with outstanding curve ball. Hard worker with high baseball IQ.
9) Arizona Noah Crabbe OF 6 180 Dallas Baptist College Corner OF with leadoff skills and top of the charts speed. Just the 2nd position player taken so far. Great work ethic and big ceiling (4)
10) Houston Francisco Maria LHP 511 195 Oral Roberts U. Hardest throwing lefty in the draft. Works 97-99 consistently with 3 ++ pitches and a developing change up.
11) Tulsa Andy Pitts RHP 6 195 Portland U. Few expected him to be here this late. Righty with huge arm, 4 pitches ++ fastball. A future manager with off the charts baseball IQ. (5)
12) Buffalo Steve Bell 3B 511 185 Canisius U. First infielder taken. Huge wheels, potential 70+ SB leadoff bat who is already a ++ defender at 3B. (7)
13) Hawaii Jesus Castaneda 1B 63 225 Bronx CC Prototypical 4 hitter who gets on base as well. Rated 18 glove at 1B today. At 21 I would want a more polished bat but he has big time power potential. Work ethic is a concern. (3)
14) New Orleans Geoffrey George IF/RF 510 185 Wichita State above average runner, ++ defender around the IF and can play RF. Not sure where the bat ends up as he has below average pop and will likely peak at .275, if that. Does have good strike zone discipline.
15) West Michigan William Murdoch RHP 62 205 Northern Illinois U Steal at 15, 93-95 with 3.5 pitches (slider developing). ++ Change up and big stamina. (10)
Thats the top 10 prospects
Unsure of what to expect 11 picks from now. Bryan McBride (OF) Mark Shelton (IF/OF) and Mario Guerrero (1B/OF) are all potentials.
ROUND #Pick
1 #26 Dave Phillips OF L/L 63 185 St. Johns A potential sleeper. 75 steal speed, potential for 30 HR power and a 3 hole bat. Taken in the 2nd round by Fresno last year 60th overall. Extreme work ethic and excelled against outstanding competition as a freshman.
3 #106 Mark Shelton IF/OF 63 180 Waldport HS, OR Huge bargain. Asking 2M but a legit 1st round talent that, for some reason, is still hanging around. Great teammate, good clubhouse influence. Enormous power potential and + speed as well as a hitter that rarely swings and misses. Could be one of the biggest steals in my draft history.

5 #170 Shannon Roberson SS 61 170 Malden HS, MA Exceptional legs, great bunter, 17 years old and extremely coachable. Low risk high reward talent.

Took a ton of bonus babies late, to both stop the overflow in the minors but also on the off chance I can catch a break.
Also made the draft 20 rounds with players out to 30 rounds available.
