Featherweight Sixth Round (Rematch)
Davey Moore 21-2-3 (14) vs Dick Finnegan 40-3-3 (9)
This was another back and forth battle with both guys scoring heavily from the outset. Round five was flat awesome when Davey hurt Dick twice with right hands and unloaded all he had only to have Finnegan with respond with one combination after another in the final minute of the violent frame (22-19). By the end of round ten both men had swollen features and it was deadlocked on the cards, then, shockingly, thirty seconds into round eleven Moore slipped a jab and landed a murderous right hand that put Finnegan flat on his face where he remained motionless for the ten count.
