Now if Iglesias turns out to be a reliable .300 hitter with a lower K/AB ratio than Jackson's, he'd be the perfect choice for lead-off, with his ability to lay down bunt/infield singles and speed.
If Infante does not re-sign with Detroit and Perez wins the 2B job, that should help the Cats in terms of speed... assuming Perez can get on base at a decent clip. This team must get faster in this era of the dominant power pitcher.

I think we need to be realistic when it comes to Iglesias and his hitting. I don't think he will ever be a top of the lineup guy. He came down to earth during the second half of the season. I figure he will be a .225-260.
