The Astros kept up though scoring 3 in the 2nd and 3 in the 3rd and were able to tie it at 7 in the 4th with one more. Both teams wanted to win game 5 and you could tell as both teams came out swinging as the Astros were leading 6-5 after just the 2nd inning. On a 3-2 pitch to Domingo Molina he swung and missed but the ball was missed by Trahan allowing Molina to go to first and the runner to move to 3rd. With runners on the corners a rare wild pitch by Baez allowed the Astros to tie it before he closed out the inning but the game was headed to extras as the Rockies couldn't score in the bottom of the 9th. The top of the 10th was a quick inning for the Astros. In the bottom of the 10th RF Rick Clark led off with a single and would eventually move to 3rd base where a sacrifice fly from Mike Trout allowed Rick Clark to beat the throw home and win it all for the Rockies.
