The 1st day is the protection list the next the expansion draft. i have always waited until the FA market opens and then since for this league I edit so my Ammy draft list doesn't come out until after so I can edit the players. The draft pool option disappears after one click league expansion and sometimes the edited players disappear, not always though.

The text says that the draft protection lists are due the next day and the draft is the day afterwards. But, that's not when the game actually schedules them.
So, I'm thinking that what it really means is those things are the next day and the day after or they are right after the free agents hit the market, whichever comes later.
