I am lucky that all my teams I choose for are basically within 20 miles of where I grew up and only one played out of state in Notre Dame. They were all good in the mid - late 80's. I was a fan of all of them before they won a title in my lifetime. It sure seems like the Cowboys, Lakers & Yankees never lose. Which are the 3 teams with the most fans. Saw plenty of Laker fans jump off the bandwagon this year.
You weren't a Yankees fan in the 80s or a Cowboys fan in the late 80s before the trade with the Vikings helped them build their early 90s teams or since Jerry Jones decided he was a good GM.

I didn't pick the Cowboys because they were a great team. I picked them because I thought Tom Landry was the epitome of class (I picked the Giants before that because I was a Yankees fan and the Giants played in Yankee Stadium). I didn't pick the Yankees because they were great. I picked them because my Dad took me to a game in 1975, which is when I fell in love with baseball in general.
