This is personally one of the reasons I think YOU, as the GM, should have to sign a contract with your team. We can already be fired, but there are no terms for how long we are there for without it. If you signed a contract, you'd then have a personal incentive to test the market after your contract was up and go to the highest bidder. It'd make changing teams in the league a bit more fluid in my opinion.

I remember when people asked for this in Football Manager SI pushed back pretty hard on the idea, but eventually they gave in and implemented it and it turned out very well imo.
