Out of Real Players

With just short of 16,000 players (including those taken in the 2102 draft who were placed on ML rosters within a week following the draft), the league has run out of historical players. That means that the HOF class of 2103 will be the last one.

This means that by using AAA only, under these circumstances, approximately 8 out of 9 RL ML players made an appearance at the NL level here. With that being the case, the target number for HOFers, here would be 186 (adjusting from the 209 expectancy if 100% of the players had played).

There are 178 player currently in the HOF. There will be either 1 or 2 members in the Class of 2103. That puts the final number right in the ball park.

One big item of note:

The leader in HR (McCovey), hits (Collins), and wins (Walter Johnson) are all repeat leaders from the previous HOF run through on v13. Also, Nolan Ryan is the career leader in BB issued, in both.

Even though the league was played with different league modifiers and different park settings, these results were consistent. Bottom line inference from this is that it is the ability of the player that trumps all other influences.
