Hi i have the same problem that the one mentioned above : For the sake of it, I (Montreal Canadiens) go to Buffalo's Roster Overview screen, right click on the first name, the goalie Jonas enroth and make trade offer, and that's what the next screen be like

But if i Go to Montreal team tab, select Trade Player(s) and choose buffalo it is alright
So i guess you could say it's the right clicking thing that doesn't work properly ! Maybe it has to do with me making a lot of trade offers with multiple teams, that is when i want to get rid of a player, instead of putting him on trade list and wait for offers ^^
