Wilmington Star, Golden Arm Award Winner: The Wilmington Iron Pigs have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making.
It's Marcos Estrada, this year's Delaware Conference Golden Arm Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance.

Estrada compiled a 20-8 record in 34 starts, tallied 229 strikeouts in 243.2 innings and recorded a 1.92 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .202 batting average against him.

MarVa Conference
Golden Arm Award Presented by MVDIV: The Golden Arm Award for 2014 has been presented and the MarVa Conference winner is Miguel Contreras of Ocean City.

"It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Contreras. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Tourists star told reporters.

Contreras excelled with an impressive 16-9 record in 35 starts. In 232 innings he yielded 201 hits and 34 walks, while striking out 212 and compiling a fine 2.79 ERA.
